Jacqui Bio

Jacqulyn Talavera was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She began dancing at the age of 5 when her mother opened her very own dance studio, Just Gotta Dance, out of the garage of their single family home. Followed by much success Jacqulyn’s family purchased a beautiful building in Suisun City, Ca where Jacqulyn’s competitive dance training including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Free-style, and Mixed Martial Arts took place. At the age of 16 Jacqulyn began her teaching career. With more than ten years of experience Jacqulyn has developed a teaching style that embodies the fundamentals of classical technique and the freedom of today’s urban movement with a strong emphasis on self-discipline and class etiquette. Recently Jacqulyn returned from a teaching tour where she instructed a series of Master Classes throughout Italy, Ukraine, and the United States. Currently Jacqulyn is performing with Footballs Fabulous Females as an Oakland Raiderette. Her passion for dance in all of its forms compliments her passion for teaching and motivating students to not only better themselves as dancers but as the beautiful people that she sees them to be. “Let each movement have IT’S moment.” ~Jacqulyn Talavera
