Lyenne Bio

Lyenne began her training in ballet, tap and jazz at the age of three in southern California where she grew up performing in various musicals and showcases. She continued her studies in dance under the direction of Sue Li Jung at U.C. Berkeley where she was a member and a choreographer of Danswork and Expressions dance companies, while earning her BA degrees in Political Science and English. Lyenne continued her academic studies at St. Mary's College where she received her teaching credentials. While at SMC Lyenne taught at various dance studios throughout the Bay Area and was a judge for the Dance Masters of America competition circuit. She has taught dance and coached the cheerleading and song squads at Acalanes High School, where she is currently a history teacher. She has choreographed numerous theatrical productions, including Guys and Dolls, Kiss Me Kate, Bye Bye Birdie, No Show/No Way, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and the Pirates of Penzance. Lyenne continued teaching at various studios throughout the Bay Area until finding a permanent home at Dance Fusion Co in 2009. She loves teaching tap and jazz and is thankful to be a part of the DFC family.
