Ali Bio

Alexandra MacWilliams received her training at the Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet under Abigail Francisco. In addition, she attended classes at the Kirov Academy of Ballet under Angelina Armeiskaya and Lyubov Fominich, as well as summer programs at American Ballet Theatre-New York, Kirov Academy of Ballet, Nutmeg Conservatory, The Washington Ballet, Bossov Ballet Theatre and Ballet Theatre of Maryland. She has received numerous artistic scholarships for summer study as well as the Edward Stewart Memorial Scholarship. In April 2007 Ms. MacWilliams had the honor of traveling to St. Petersburg, Russia to be a participant in the Dance Open International Ballet Festival. Alexandra is a three time recipient of the Maryland All State Dancer award. She danced professionally with the Ballet Theatre of Maryland for 5 seasons. Ms. MacWilliams has been a rehearsal coach and is known for working with students on Classical Variations and contemporary solos. For the 2018- 2019 season Ms. MacWilliams taught ballet, pointe, and lyrical to students in San Diego. She is a frequent guest teacher and has been on the summer intensive faculty of schools throughout Maryland, as well as, holding workshops for the United States Naval Academy Dance Team.
