Grace Goodwin is a contemporary dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Northern California. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, musical theater, hip hop, contemporary, improvisation, African, and Hawaiian. She studied at notable schools such as Dance Fusion Co. under the direction of Debra Emerson Boyd and Aushi Oskarsdottir as well as dance conventions with Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Leo Morimune, and Travis Wall. Grace graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Dance and Psychology. She has performed in Faculty Concerts, Student Concerts, Senior Thesis works and directed the Impulse Dance Concert for two years. Grace was featured in Un Essere Umano and Those Who Dance, two student dance films. Her choreography has been featured in The LMU Dance Department’s Student Dance Concert, Impulse, Community Dance Project, and Voices of Justice. Grace has also choreographed for the LMU Theater Department's productions of Spring Awakening and RENT. In the annual Lipsync and Stroll Off competition at LMU, Grace teamed up with Dominic “Dtrix” Sandoval and Lauren Froderman and choreographed for Pi Beta Phi; they won first place.
Grace has also choreographed for Dance Fusion Co., and her pieces have won numerous choreography awards at various dance competitions. In addition to performing and choreographing, Grace enjoys teaching and specializes in jazz technique and improvisation for elementary school through high school aged dancers. Grace finds the human brain fascinating, and loves to discover ways of representing her unique and twisted mind through exploration and collaboration with others. She hopes to get certified in yoga within the next year, travel to Europe, and begin applying to graduate schools for pediatric neuropsychology.
